Q:           How early do I need to leave?

A:            Due to new government regulations requiring cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, guests are requested to complete Online Check-in no later than 3 days prior to their cruise. If you do not complete Online Check-in 3 days prior, you will be required to complete this process at the pier at least two hours prior to the published sailing time. Please note: All guests must be checked-in and onboard the ship no later than 90 minutes prior to the published sailing time or you will not be permitted to sail.

Q:           How do I get to the ship?

A:            For guests who have made their air arrangements through Royal Caribbean (and are arriving on the day of boarding), our airport meet and greet staff will meet you in the Baggage Claim Area or outside of Customs (for international flights) to direct you to your transportation between the airport and ship. Please refer to your Transfer Voucher for more specific details on transportation, meeting locations, start times and frequency of transfers.

Guests that are Cruise Only (i.e., have not made air arrangements through us) may also purchase this transfer service (called Royal Connections) separately and be met in the Baggeage Claim Area or outside of Customs (for international flights) for their transfer. Please contact your travel agent or contact us for details.

If you drive to the departure port, parking is typically available on a first-come first-served basis at most piers for a fee. But every pier does vary.

Q:           When can I board the ship?

A:            The boarding time for your ship and sailing date is specified in your Guest Vacation Documents.  Please do not plan on arriving at the pier prior to the specified time as the ship will not be ready to board guests.

Due to new government regulations requiring cruise lines to submit final departure manifests at least 60 minutes prior to sailing, guests are requested to complete Online Check-in no later than 3 days prior to their cruise. If you do not complete Online Check-in 3 days prior, you will be required to complete this process at the pier at least two hours prior to the published sailing time. Q:           Can I bring liquor or non-alcoholic beverages (from home or from a port) onboard?

A:      Guests are not allowed to bring beer, hard liquor, fortified wines or non-alcoholic beverages onboard for consumption or any other use on boarding day or while in port. Alcoholic beverages seized on boarding day will not be returned.

Guests wishing to bring personal wine and champagne onboard may do so only on boarding day, limited to two (2) 750 ml bottles per stateroom. Additional bottles of wine beyond two (2) bottles that are brought onboard or any alcoholic beverages purchased in ports of call or from Shops On Board will be stored by the ship and delivered to your stateroom on the last day of the sailing. Wine may be consumed in any shipboard restaurant, dining venue, or within the guests’ stateroom. Wine brought onboard may not be shared for consumption in private group events, and/or in lounges made private for the exclusive use of a group.

Security may inspect containers (water bottles, soda bottles, mouthwash, luggage etc.) and will dispose of containers holding alcohol. Guests who violate any alcohol policies, (over consume, provide alcohol to people under age 21, demonstrate irresponsible behavior, or attempt to conceal alcoholic items at security and or luggage check points or any other time), may be disembarked or not allowed to board, at their own expense, in accordance with our Guest Conduct Policy. Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned.)

Potentially hazardous food and/or food that requires refrigeration.

Q:  What if my flight is delayed?
A:  If you miss the departure of your trip due to carrier-caused delays or other covered reasons, Royal Caribbean Travel Protection Program package of benefits reimburses you for additional accommodations, meals and “catch-up” transportation expenses. Otherwise, you are responsible for any expense incurred to meet the ship at its next port of call. For this reason, many guests find it is easiest to arrive a day prior to sailing and stay in a hotel the night before to avoid any possible delays. We offer pre-cruise packages at resort hotels near the port where you board. You can also extend your vacation by booking a post-cruise hotel package.

Q:  Is there parking available at the pier, and is there a charge?
A:  Yes, we do have parking at most piers for a minimal fee. It is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The number of spaces available will vary by pier.

Q:  What are the dress codes onboard?
A:  When you’re onboard, the right look will vary by venue. But here are a few types of suggested attire you’ll see, grouped by item.

·         Casual: You’re on vacation – relax! Jeans, polos, sundresses and blouses are all the right amount of laid back. Please keep swimwear to the Pool Deck. Shorts are welcomed for breakfast and lunch.

Smart Casual:
Think of this as a step up from your typical dinner wear. Dress to impress with collared shirts, dresses, skirts and blouses, or pantsuits. Jackets, sports coats and blazers are snazzy and welcomed.

·         Formal: Make it a night out in your best black-tie look – suits and ties, tuxedos, cocktail dresses or evening gowns. There can be 1-3 formal nights during a sailing and is at the ship’s discretion.

Please note that bare feet are not allowed at any time in any venue and tank tops are not permitted in the Main Dining Room or Specialty Dining venues for dinner.
